Classic three paneled, all pegged and dovetailed Danish armoire c.1860. We have the center stile and back panel of course.
These are the first drawers we have ever seen which not only have their original brass loop hardware, but were also lockable with a key -most unusual and this means that this was a very special and very expensive armoire in it's time.

The panels were thinned on the back which creates the shadows you can see in the interior door and side panel photos. The little dots are the pegs which were used instead of nails in construction.
The three or four dots on the side panels were where there were additional pegs for hanging clothes. We can replace these if you wish.
The top had swinging peg racks! This is again a sign of a very special and very expensive armoire.
Totally unrestored, but in excellent sturdy condition.
