A very handsome Danish sideboard or server c. 1860 with original door appliques, fluting and bun feet.
The top left has a repair - this sideboard will need to have a painted finish. Someone set a hot kettle down on the corner and we had to repair a burn mark. Originally, it would have been painted to resemble yellow mahogany, so I sure it will be happy to be painted once again.
Working locks, easy sliding dovetailed drawers, strong and sturdy.
Despite the amazing wealth of detail on this piece, there is something a bit rustic about it. Look at the fabulous hand shaped back panels - you will get the idea that this was an early piece, probably handcrafted by an expert country cabinetmaker to copy a fancy city piece.
Totally and completely charming and full of character. Fully restored and awaited your choice of a painted finish.
