$1450 Item # Nightstand Pair 0911-1 Height 30 " Depth at top 13 1/2" Width at top 16 1/2" Unusually ornate and early pair of Danish nightstands c.1860. This pair is restored and ready for choice of finish. Excellent condition. Original hardware and bun feet. Original pewter hardware. Price includes your choice of finish, can be painted. I found two pieces of marble from the same time period, not original to this setbut well fitting and of the same design.One piece is slightly thicker than the other piece which won't matter at all when they are separated. The tops measure about 16 1/2" wide and about 15"deep with the marble. Height with the marble is about 30 3/4"

One of the cabinet fronts is missing its decoration so we plan to replace the veneer panels on both nightstands so that they match. The original hardware is metal in a blackish gray color. If you like we can put on brass harware. Each cabinet has a shelf. Danish c.1930 Price does not include delivery but includes complete restoration and your choice of finish.

$1250 for the pair Item # Nightstand 0503-1 Height 30 1/2" Depth at top 16 " Width at top 16 1/2" Danish nightstands with marble tops c.1900 in excellent condition with hinged door that can open quite wide. Beautiful tightly grained pine, dovetailed drawer, original shelf. Sturdy and handsome. Hardware is missing and we will replace it of course. There will be several choices. The marble tops on these particular stands are permanently attached but underneath is the usual sturdy dovetailed structure. Shown is one of a pair in the upper photos with the correct color as the cabinets are at present before restoration and finish. The other one's door opens in the opposite direction. The pair photo was taken with a flash. Both cabinets are in excellent condition. Price does not include delivery but includes complete restoration and your choice of finish. |
The marble tops are always original, usually just placed on the top of the furniture which is strongly dovetailed. The white marble is Italian, the red or brown marble is Swedish. We can put a wooden top on any of them though, just ask us.

$650 Item # Nightstand 1222-1 Height 30-31" Depth at top 15 1/2" Width at top 16 1/2" One of the rarely found Swedish nightstands, so cleverly made so there is room to put a book on the shelf and yet there is a drawer for small items and a cupboard originally intended for a chamber pot which of course you use in that fashion if you wish! Handsome original marble on the dovetailed top, pretty small bun feet. The hardware came with this piece but is not original. It is bakelite from the 1930's and looks very nice, however since it is not original we would be happy to put on old porcelain knobs for you. Fully restored, waxed light brown c 1870-1880. Marble can be removed to easily move this piece around your house, pulls have been replaced with brass, dove tailed drawers, applique on a veneer panel door typical of the time period. Waxed light brown, ready to go. Excellent condition. We can put little blocks under the marble to keep it from being shifted if this piece is to be used in a child's room. The hardware is a replacement of solid brass pulls, very nice! Also, although the top looks original, it can not be. These pieces always had marble tops because they were used for pitchers and basins. The top is made of wood of the same time period though and looks perfect on this piece.

Excellent condition with a wonderful base, raised panel on interior of door which indicates great age. The hardware is a replacement. Also, although the top looks original, it can not be.
