These very unusual works have been cleaned and are well running. There is only the hour hand on this early clock and no chime!The one photo shows the nice brass works.

Originally the door was hinged, but that wore over time so the clock door was arranged in the other usual choice of latch hook and peg.

The amazing crown is one solid piece of slow growth tight grained pine.

We believe that the paint on the face is a repaint done perhaps 100 years ago by the clockmaker who probably cleaned the works and signed his name.
