This clock chimes on the 1/2 hour too! A sweet light chime and then a melodious bong. This is a very early works with a metal coil. The coil makes the bong sound.I will get a video shortly and record this wonderful sound for you.

You can also see the train tag. This clock was shipped by train at some point in its life.

A glint of the swinging sun of the pendulum can be seen through the round window on the body.

Look at the slight protusion of the wooden pegs used to construct the face. This again is a sign of great age. The pegs shrink opposite the wood in the body over time...

The face plate hangs on a metal prong.

The clock head is topped by an elegant tiara.
