$25 # CRGR-1601-1 Little aspic or ring mold.
Wonderful cream and green aspic or ring mold, measures 7 1/4 inches across and stands 2 1/2 inches tall. Condition is very good! Wear around green trim from being banged on a table to remove contents. Interior very clean and good, glossy, not scraped like many of them (table banger vs. scraper!) There is one tiny place where the maker covered a little bit of metal or sand, original to this piece. Exterior also clean and glossy, thick enamel, a little kind of bump out, original from maker, like a little lump in the enamel, maybe I am being too fussy??? Green trim is a medium dark shade. This mold was used mainly for very pretty chopped meat dinners in aspic also called gele or jello type. It would make a wonderful modern day surprise on the table whether a main dish or side jello fruit mold. Easy to hang on a nail for display. |
