Both rugs are in wonderful clean condition, tightly woven with decorations done in old rayon stockings! You can see many early fabrics inthes rugs in blues, reds, greens, yellows, blacks and of course the wonderful wide stripes in soft cherry reds. The rug to the left shows the most accurate colors.

Swedish c. 1920 , fabric bound edges, extremely finely and tightly woven, clean. The weft was made in two colors which helps to create the pattern in this rug. Soft colors of blues, greens and reds with soft beiges. This is the type of rug that makes a nice table runner or cover. The most finely woven rug we have ever had in the shop.

I would guess that these two rugs were at one time one long rug. The colors are actually all the same but the way they are put together creates a slightly different impression. A lot of the long rugs start out darker or more intense at one end and get lighter at the far end.
This rug is the lighter in color of the two.

This is an amazing rug, must have taken a lot of plotting and planning to produce this color arrangement. It is basically a rosy pink and green mixed with some darker blue fabrics. Please look at the closeup for good color.
