This is a VERY comfortable table to sit at--we have all sat down together to try it out since it is so unique in its shape. It is comfortable for two people to sit at the corners too, unexpectedly so. Very clever cabinetmaker made this table. The finish is a typical Swedish soft glossy paint in a celery green color. It is from the 1940's and the top is made of a fine grade birch veneer. We can imagine this table in a dining room with red wall paper-very stylish!

It is the nicest solution to a room with limited space and imagine the comfort if you are only two or four people to daily meals and just need to pull in the two extra chairs for company.

Sturdy table and chairs, easy to recover chair cushions. Ready to go home with you.

Excellent condition although unrestored at this time.

I am not sure if we have the original leaves, but whether we do or not they will have aprons applied.

The table size in proportion to magazines and a large room area.

This is a table of a similar type with pull out leave extensions, shown with leaves inserted. It is very stable and good looking.

Original Danish table c.1860 or so, very very handsome. It will have leaves that fit onto the extensions. You can put in one leaf or two as you choose. The space under the leaf will of course be very comfortable if you like to cross your legs or have long legs.

The overhang on each side is 1 1/2". I am not sure if we have the original leaves for this table, if not my husband will use matching wood and make leaves.

Unrestored but excellent condition.

Price includes full restoration and delivery in our delivery district or a $185 discount to be used towards trucking.

Other notes for you...

any cracks in these legs are typical of the age and turnings and will be filled in, part of our usual restoration process. The legs are all strong and sturdy.

This table top can be seamlessly joined if you like.

You could put a tray on these extensions if serving at a party!

My husband shown measuring at 21 inches, appropriate for a coffee table.

Beautiful detail and moldings.

The end of the table with the leave supports pushed in.

This table is easy to move. The legs unscrew. Also there is an interesting brass attachment on the bottom of each leg which we assume is to help slide the table, at any rate we have certainly never seen this arrangement before. A sturdy quality table with a lot of style.

$1650 Item# Table 0301-2 Pedestal

Height to table top 29"

Width 42 1/2" without leaves extended and about 6' 2 1/2" with leaves

Each leave measures 15 1/2"

This table is only 30 years or so old. It is Danish from a factory in Jutland. Once in a while we see these and pick them up because they are so unique. The pedestal actually comes apart to make room in the top for the leaves. It is very well made and sturdy, however hard to find. They were very expensive tables and very few were made.It does need to be restored, preferably polyurethaned once more.

This table is in great condition. We think that there was an oiled soap finish applied to the top so it can be painted with oil paint or waxed.

Since there is no apron, lots of space to cross your legs under the table top.

Price includes full restoration .
