Swedish c.1880. Most unusual for its shorter than usual stature (great height for a modern sofa) and for the wonderful turnings on the base.

Impressive oval pedestal table, tea anyone? The base is birch veener that looks like faux wood and the top has I believe had its paint removed and I think it should be waxed a darker color, perhaps to cherry or a light brown to match the base better. We bought this piece in Sweden but it is Russian! Excellent condition. Teeny little painted black ball feet carry this piece.

This simple beautifully turned Swedish pedestal table is really a tilt top table. Swedish c.1850 or perhaps earlier. Lovely wood color and quality. The mechanism which clamps the top down is super easy to use and very clever. Excellent condition.
