$950 #Mangle 0620-1 Extremely rare mermaid.

This is a 1930's folk art piece which the artist made from a famous 1600's original example. It is beautifully done, lovely to hold and has character and charm. An oiled finish on pine which has darkened to a rich patina over time.

Measures 27" x 4 1/2".

$895 #Mangle Board 0522-1 Danish c.1793 with bead

This horse is in beautiful collection, placid eye and mouth. Whoever carved this piece was a fine rider or saw fine riding.He knew what a horse looks like! In addition, it has a bead which moves back and forth and makes a lovely sound.

Original green, orange and black paint. Excellent condition.

Measures 25 inches by 5 3/4 inches.

Danish board with truly fine original green, ochre and black paint. Exquisite bridle and tail. Very heavy solid board. The horse body moves a bit on the board because of age and the method of pegging but is not galloping off anywhere. Cheerful with tremendous character. Excellent condition.

This horse is bracing itself against the wind. Handsome remains of black paint on an otherwise green and orange board. Horse a bit worn and loose, obviously touched and admired a great deal over time.

Measures 27 inches long x 4 3/4 wide.

Elegant graceful although primitive board with original blue and orange paint. Horse is red. end is scalloped and edges are fluted.

Measures 24 long x 5 1/2 wide at widest point. Excellent condition with of course wormholes.

Must admit this one gives me goosebumps. Fine notching work, precise and exquisite, must have been a long engagement! The horse body is a bit loose in its slot but not going anywhere. Excellent condition, charming mane and pinwheels. Original green and orange paint.

Measures 24 inches x 5 1/2 inches at widest point.
