Beautiful beaded decoration and original brass hardware on this nice Danish wash stand c. 1880. The top has of course been replaced, these pieces always had marble tops since they were intended for use with pitcher and bowl, but the wood matches very nicely and you wouldn't know unless we told you.

This is a Danish washstand c.1880 with its original hardware, feet etc which originally had a marble top. In order to accomodate all the requests we get for a powder room piece maximum 24 inches in width, we have raised the height and made a wooden top. This can be done with any wash stand cabinet type piece. Look for more possibilities on the washstand page.

We can adjust the size of the top of course. You can also put on a marble/stone/granite top of course if you wish.

What a neat piece! There are towel racks on either side and the top lifts off to store your basin! Original everything! Swedish from southern Sweden in fact. All original and so unusual! Excellent condition. c.1900.
